HOW TO PLAY AT THE POINTS OF THE ROUTE?
Augmented reality (AR) is an essential feature in the game that allows players to live a unique immersive and interactive experience.
Not all mobiles are compatible with augmented reality technology. The game requires devices with advanced sensors and updated versions of internet browsers. If you encounter problems accessing the game, please ensure that:
- The device is relatively new (model released in the last 3-4 years).
- The operating system and browser are updated to the latest version.
- The mobile has a camera and sensors compatible with AR.
The loading time of the augmented reality experience may vary depending on several factors, such as the speed of the Internet connection, the power of the device and the performance of the browser. Please note that the weight of each experience ranges from 40mb to 50mb, which may require a few extra seconds to fully load.
To ensure optimal functioning of augmented reality experiences, it is necessary for participants to accept the following permissions on their mobile device:
Camera access:
You need to allow the use of the mobile phone camera in order to see the augmented reality elements overlaid on the real environment.
Access to motion and orientation sensors:
It is necessary to allow the use of motion and orientation sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) to ensure an accurate and smooth augmented reality experience.
Any questions about how to activate these permissions, consult the FAQs section or contact our support service.
How does geolocation work?
Geolocation is a technology that makes it possible to determine the exact geographical location of the mobile device using GPS and other positioning systems. In the game "The Secret Paths of La Pobla de Mafumet", geolocation is an essential tool that ensures that participants are in the correct locations to activate augmented reality experiences and earn points.
To use geolocation you must accept the warning that appears at the start of the game. If the warning does not appear, you need to go to the settings of the mobile phone and accept it manually.
To ensure that geolocation works correctly during gameplay, follow these tips:
Activate your device's GPS: Make sure GPS is turned on and your device has access to a mobile data connection.
Allow location access whenever using the web app: When prompted, select the option to allow location access while using the app.
Review permission settings: Verify in the device settings that the web app has permission to access the location.
Have the mobile phone updated with the latest software version: Keeping your device updated is key to ensuring accurate geolocation. Updates often fix bugs and optimize sensor performance. In addition, software improvements can increase location accuracy and reliability, ensuring a better experience in navigation and augmented reality applications.
Not accepting geolocation permissions means not being able to activate augmented reality experiences or advance the game. This will significantly limit the ability to fully participate in the game.
